for everyone who needs to be
if you were the stars,
then i'd be the darkness,
surrounding you in my embrace.
if you were the darkness,
then i'd be the moon,
near enough to be comforting.
if you were the moon,
then i'd be a cloud,
rising to you, kissing your face.
if you were a cloud,
then i'd be the sun,
warming you with my adoring gaze.
if you were the sun,
then i'd be the sea,
reflecting the beauty I see in you.
if you were the sea,

swim until you can't see land
The doctor says two weeks, maybe
less and for a moment I think the nurse will cry,
but the morphine is flooding my veins and
I ask if I can go home,
though there is nothing for me
in the place where I sometimes sleep.
I am high and trying to explain
to the man I love that I think I would like to die
in Mexico - I am laughing
so I don't cry.
Maybe this is home, his calm voice,
patiently talking me out of fear,
again and again and
I think about saying thank you,
but there are no words -
I love you
suddenly small and frail,
like my body, arched in the waiting dark,
knowing
I will wait for you
forever.
I write prose, poetry, erotica, and short stories. I do some photography as a hobby, and I am a coloratura soprano - which means I sing opera and can sing higher than any one should subject others' eardrums to. I play several instruments, and I am the lead singer of a local band. I also give webcam voice lessons (website below.) I was a model for a while, and I dabble in painting and drawing. I love to read, and I am more mischief than one person should be. Nice to meet you. Message me. I can't bite via internet.
Current Residence: Kansas, U.S. Favourite genre of music: all of them Personal Quote: It wasn't me, it was Whitman!
